I am not smart enough to discuss with you on a technical level, just want to point out that FF should not be evaluated on DD performance alone: Heavier Gases: D + He + N, and shorter electrodes The sixth goal is to confirm LPP’s theory that heavier gases will lead to higher compression and to thereb...

Want to see FF succeed? Suggest instruments and measurements
Got any scientific experience?
FF needs your help in determining what to measure and how to measure it properly. Go here to suggest and discuss:

Fission could do direct conversion probably as well.
If only someone things of a reaction where betas are absorbed..
Edit:Umm there is, the problem seems with power

Yet another fussion
I was reading this conservative fission-fussion analysis http://europe.theoildrum.com/node/5929 when i found yet another competitor in fusion race - seems a little better than ITER: "A Better Bet: The Fusion ATM Are there better, faster-to-develop, approaches to magnetic fusion than the tokamak? Yes...

I would consider an outsider someone that has intimate knowledge of plasma physics, but does not work on a specific problem. It makes little sense to ask shoe salesman to evaluate a physics project if he does not have the education. Of course it would be good if the expert has an understanding of th...

Breakable, I think it is more like 300+ toks give you a 50% chance. It is not like taking marbles out of a basket. Mine is a very optimistic prediction when each Tocamac-like-project is exploring some different approach. On the other hand it is possible to build 500 identical machines and not learn...

The correct formula should be to multiply all probabilities (instead of averaging them as I thought before), so the outcome is: Polywell 0.05*0.001*0.001*0.00001*0.5 *100% = 0.000000000025% Tokamak 0.05*0.2*0.4*0.8 *100% = 0.32% ICF 0.001*0.01*0.2*0.5*0.02*0.5 *100% = 0.000001% DPF 0.05*0.2*0.2 *100...
