BTW the Deloren had electric doors, not good. Actually, no they didn't. The gull-wing doors were operated by gas shocks just like most common hatch-style vehicles. My cousin owned two Deloreans at one time, but sold one after using the best part of the two to restore one. The guys that bought the D...

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you have a a superconducting ring storing say 100 TWh of energy and some catastrophic even comes along and in the matter of a few milliseconds shatters that ring I would think that the magnetic flux would immediately begin expanding out since there is no longer any m...

maybe neutrinos are NOT faster than light (explaining the supernova results) and yet, they arrived earlier both on CERN and on Supernovas (although not by the expected margin (by a long shot), on Supernovas, as if they were really faster than light) so what can this mean? They made an hyperjump whe...

Just had an interesting thought that might correlate the Supernova results with the CERN results: Neutrinos can travel faster than the speed of light, but ONLY when they are passing through dense matter, like the body of a star or a planet.... The other possibility I can think of that might explain ...

I wonder if this has any relationship to the fact that neutrinos appear to have mass?

Heim theory is looking more credible all the time.

Dictionary.com defines religion as: a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe.

If you follow that basic definition then Atheism is as much a religion as any other. And it has been my experience that they are just as evangelical.

I think we got or answer to why the FOIA was denied under the "Proprietary information" clause in Rick's follow up comment to Alan Boyle's article: Secondly, in our contract with the DOD, EMC2 owns the commercialization rights for the Polywell. However, commercialization is not something that we can...

For some reason over the last few days it has been running through my mind that the progress of the Navy's various rail gun projects might be a good indicator of Polywell progress. From what I can tell, they're going to need Polywell power/size ratio reactors to effectively run the rail guns. If we ...

Ok, maybe we haven't been given any concrete evidence but perhaps we can infer from their "potential commercial competition advantage" excuse that they have proven that there is in fact a commercial value to the system?? Maybe it's a quick way of saying "We're getting ready to move from Non-Profit t...

I personally believe that part of the reason for all the secrecy is that a lot of the technology EEStor is using is basically stolen from the real inventors. My cousin worked on the technology EEStor is using while working on his PHD along with a couple of other grad students. They didn't realize at...

It's also conceivable that that they might have borrowed an unused or outdated piece of the Z-Machine power supply. The cap banks on that thing are massive and I know it went through a couple of different configurations before it reached the state it's in now. I'm sure there are probably some old ca...
