Gentlemen, I'm surprised at the level of angst, and paranoia. Nothing said here would strike me as new information. The basic concepts were made public by Dr B., and the hard data required to justify any fear or joy would be limited to those capable of building a functional model. (Like what may be ...

MSimon, if you start to feel a bit itchy and want to actually start bending wire, I'm not that far away for a few trips to assist. I don't think I'm alone here with some free, moderately skilled labor to offer. But, where would you get the power supplies and vacuum hardware? (Yes, for the gearheads ...

I hope he is responding to us in a round-a-bout way. I have to say, he has one heck of a lot of people pulling for him on this little patch of the net. I'm happier about the silence with construction, than I would be if they reported minor success, but Dr N left the project to pursue something else....

Am I the only one who sees a direct relation between the update on the EMCC page and the FOIA request as a possibility? They gave us a treat. Thanks! I would say silence is golden. If it worked and all the issues were solved... but you were them (or the Navy)... what would you release? If you have f...

I'm not an "expert" by any means... but that is not recirculating, the "supports" will direct electrons into the walls, and the open spaces between quadrants on each side would make a "funny cusp" look like a cakewalk to plug.

But, I might be wrong.

If insurance was a good idea for the average person, it wouldn't be profitable. Open an account, place into that account what you spend on all forms of insurance... $120-home $100-car $5-cell $300-health $40-life ...sound about average? Low on some, high on others depending upon where you live and ...

Auto insurance... insurance in general... is a very profitable business.

Politicians need money for elections and life.

Politicians can create laws forcing people to purchase insurance... (even health insurance soon!)

Is any of this sinking in? Seriously people, just follow the cash.

I know it's splitting hairs. But it just amused me.

I think I need a new sense on humor.

I'll check Ebay.

This might be a strange thing to say, but why do we consider pB&j to be "fusion"?

Isn't it really a fission reaction with a proton instead of a neutron? I mean to say, we are operating at fusion levels of energy, but we are reducing a large atom into smaller ones. That really is fission.

Plasma engines

This may be the right forum... ? http://news.ufl.edu/2008/06/11/flying-saucer/ This was big a while ago, and I reference it not because I like the design, (I don't. A spinning airframe, the control issues, remote communication from inside a plasma cloud... It's messy.) ...but because his method of c...

Socialism is fine way to eliminate human failings... so long as the controlling power is not subject to the same human foibles. The obvious answer is either freedom, to limit the inevitable human weakness from becoming too powerful and corrupt, or a non-human control. Please Skynet, come and save me...

The cusps are never "closed" completely... they are simply not the path of least resistance for the electron. Some will escape and recirculate giving their energy back to the well from which it fled.

Bush 'n Co also gave us the Medicare Drug entitlement... the largest bit of bribery to the AARP in history. (And we can't afford the Ponzi scheme that is every entitlement program !) The Iraq war was a joke. Justified? Yeah... they violated the cease fire and gave us a legal reason to invade. But it...

They all purchased politicians to protect contracts and get an edge over their competitors. In an "Ideal World" the Government has no such power to sell to the Barons at any price. End corruption by eliminating a politicians ability to sell anything of value... or at least reduce it as much as possi...
