What is believed to work however is a lifter with a solid dielectric between two electrodes. And the material can be any High K material such as barium titanate etc.. And with the use of that kind of material ion cloud formation should occur and generate the expected propulsion given that even in s...

Based on the research of others and the exhaustive work of Jean Naudin who tested lifters in numerous ways years ago including using sealed vacuum tubes around the + charged wire and separating the + and - electrodes with cardboard to prevent the movement of any air, to see if the craft worked anywa...

Any progress on this Prof Science? I think the subject is rather interesting and I'm working on some different concepts regarding increasing the efficiency of the lifter such as using solid dielectrics instead of air.

EmField57, What I've been trying to explain to people is that a "Lifter" does operate by Ion wind principals when operated in air, but when you remove the air and the Ion wind goes away, there is still a force left behind that appears to be unconventional in origin and may be useful in all the ways...

This is a great thread. I know that lifter technology interest was quite high a number of years ago and then seemed to fade away. Now about this technology operating in a vacuum, I was wondering if the OP had tried a design similar to this: http://jnaudin.free.fr/lifters/bbsv2/index.htm ? Because I ...
