Yet another person who is closer to the E-Cat than his know-nothing critics here, who has presumably invested in it. HEARSAY EVIDENCE is the evidence of those who relate, not what they know themselves, but what they have heard from others. As a general rule, hearsay evidence of a fact is not admiss...

If I claimed I had a herd of unicorns at the North pole which were so well camouflaged no-one had ever seen them he would believe me. I note your eyes are still firmly closed. Have you ever had any experience taking field measurements on unicorns? Of course no one can see them -- they are invisible...

(2) What happens to the reaction products when the WL system is switched off. They must persist, and would result in detectable unshielded radiation at the end of experiments for some time. The obvious proof that something nuclear is happening is a before and after sample of the magic nickel power,...

Conclusion The "Rossi effect" is verified The power source can not be of chemical nature. Says who? Was there an independent test of heat output over an extended period (say 2 weeks) without adding the complexity of a phase change? Was a separate but identical test performed concurrently using the ...

To be clear, even if a new bacteria were to emerge and provide an example of mutation, this does not entail a structural development. Evolution proposes that random mutation and natural selection constantly give rise to structure that supports new function.Evolutionary biologiosts have always been ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCm0jW5Bjdg&start=16m40s The stuff about 15-16 minutes in (thrusters) looks like George Miley's stuff at UIllinois. The presenter Magdi Ragheb is from University of Illinois, so the connection would certainly make sense. From what I understand the plasma is directed (...

with the device configured to emit neutrons as a jet That would be a neat trick. Any idea how to do it? (Aside from shielding.) At about 17 minutes in, the presenter in the youtube talk shows some pictures and makes the claim that he has a device "existing running" in his lab producing a neutron je...

Seems smarter to use the excess plutonium laying around and just use the neutron source for the small deficit due to excess minor actinides. IIRC the lead in time to create enough U233 would be decades. ICBW I suppose it all depends on the rate at which the polywell machines being employed can prod...

Near wall issues? The neutron flux will irradiate the polywell device. Certainly. Just as the neutron flux while enriching uranium will irradiate the centrifuges, the factory equipment, the mining trucks, the ore crushers, etc. And leaves around tons and tons of mine tailings and depleted uranium. ...

You would still need an initial load of fissile material. All the neutron source will do is make up for some neutron economy deficiencies. This may allow a high converter to become a break even breeder. This might also allow using SNF with a high TRU, but there still needs to be a full fissile load...

Re: Thorium Fuel Cycle Using Fusion Neutron Source
Anyway, I'd never considered the idea of using a polywell simply as a neutron source leading to net power from a fission reaction. Interesting idea. I had also never before considered the idea that the polywell might present weapons proliferation issues. However it occurs to me that the bad guys co...

Thorium Fuel Cycle Using Fusion Neutron Source
in late May 2012, Magdi Ragheb from the University of Illinois presented at the Thorium Energy Alliance Conference 4 . He discussed his work on using electrostatic & electrodynamic neutron generators to operate or kick start LFTR style thorium reactors. As a neutron source, the polywell can either b...

It was a pentawatt pulse that lasted 40 femtoseconds. Highest power output on record and can fire once/second. That'll leave a mark... It's a long running joke. It started when people began noticing how much trouble the LHC was having getting up to speed. People suggested that perhaps we just weren't meant to find the Higgs. "A pair of otherwise distinguished physicists have suggested that the hypothesized Higgs boson, which physi...
