Re: 10KW LENR demonstrator (new thread)

Yes it does, at least this has a resemblance of a real live test,I would have preferred a couple of old fashion in-line amp meter that were certified by a cal lab running in sync with the data monitor rather than the clamp on meters. (or did i miss that part I tuned out after awhile) I have to admi...

Re: 10KW LENR demonstrator (new thread)

A truly inquisitive scientist might say [just for example] "I could set this experiment up by connecting the frame the device is mounted to to an electrical supply, so when current on the wires is measured, this contribution of power is missed." The frame of the e-cat in the tests is clearly free-s...

Re: 10KW LENR demonstrator (new thread)

The whole notion of 'controlling heat by applying heat' is an insanity. If the heat applied is lower than the heat produced, then the, supposed, 'reactor core' is acting as a heat sink, not a source. Thermal resistive heating isn't controlling the heat, its the electric pulses that are controlling ...

My results

Nice work Rick... XRF services can be found online for about $25 a scan.. Or maybe someone here has access to one and will run your before and after samples. I took a stab at reproducing the experiments too... Small bursts of plasma.. using course grained carbon... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pht...

Here are results of my first experiment

I put ~1g activated charcoal (course granulated, from a new fish tank filter) in one of a sturdy Pyrex ramekin. Microwaved on high for 1 minute. Lots of white sparks, and saw a 2 or 3 one second plasma fireballs with the distinctive buzzing sound. After one minute the temperature was 83C/182F. No da...

Query/Response from Author

I got a response to some quick questions from Dr. Egely. I am posting them here. I wish I had asked a few of the questions better, but it shows he is willing to answer questions. His web site has additional links: http://greentechinfo.eu/ Dear Dr. Egely, ... Do you have a similar test for pure carbo...

More hints of transmutation

Egely had mass spectrometry done for a complex sludge as well as the titanium alloy. He has likely done a test on pure graphite--it is cheap. I'm not sure why he didn't show the results for the most simple test, but I have emailed him to inquire. There are also a number of other claims of transmutat...

Can anyone recommend a signal generator that supports multiple waveforms and has a enough power to drive an induction coil. (Ebay?) I don't want to spend a fortune, but want something that will be able to heat and/or resonate the metal powders. With a few rare exceptions, no signal generator is goi...

Might want to include some shielding, that is if you have any thoughts that this might actually work. I can turn it on from 200ft away. But initially I will not include hydrogen or MgH2--just want to see if I can "tune" it to see what creates the most heat. I would like to test for radiation.. that...

Yeah. I found the bit about the Wavetek suspicious too. Remarked on it up thread. The early Rossi prototypes had two heaters... an external one that was visible.. and an internal one that may have been a coil. (His big blue box would be overkill for applying power to a heater--a simple power supply...

Re: Chan method of replication

I'm ok with electronics, but I am not a pro. But I'd like to follow Chan's method if possible. I guess I'm wondering if I buy an RFG that has 5, 10, or 20 volts PP will that be enough to heat a powder in a copper tube to 200C. Be very aware, that if you heat MgH2 to 400C the equilibrium pressure of ...

Chan method of replication

Back to the Chan method. While I think there are a lot of missing details, he does give an interesting description of a "claimed working device" with a minimum of ingredients (MgH2, Ni, Cu, Fe.) I posted a summary here: http://www.ecatplanet.net/showthread.php?100-Chan-Method-of-Ni-H-fusion Can anyo...

I think phlogiston was the most important scientific discovery ever. Right up there with Piltdown Man. Pretty smug! Lets see how your previous predictions are going... Digging back to May 15th: Prediction - come October/November there will "minor difficulties" (supply? construction? something else?...

At this point, it makes no sense to discuss e-cat anymore; it has been exposed to public sufficiently, the "scientific" data about e-cat is apparently not a Rossi's priorities; in fact I would expect from Rossi a misleading tips so, to discuss his ability to disguise the process inside e-cat is poi...

What did he put up? Re-read my post: Rossi put up everything required to make significant (multi-million euro) sales of his product. There is no reason for him to give up proprietary secrets for others to replicate--a technology without enforceable patents and/or trade secrets quickly becomes worth...
