Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024

Wouldn't a 20 Tesla field require superconducting coils and cryogenic cooling? That would increase the cost, size and complexity of the plant, which would negate what I thought was one of the benefits of their approach.

Re: EMC2 news

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but reading the new patent, Polywell now: 1) does not need an electron-beam-injected potential well to operate, 2) requires a 2.5 meter radius core to generate just 90MW of fusion power even with D-T, and 3) has even less of a chance than before of burning aneutronic fue...

Re: Police State?

Here in Canada, we have a joke that goes like this: What's the biggest difference between Canada and the United States? In the States, the people hate the government. In Canada, the government hates the people.

Please don't follow our example. Safeguard your Constitution at all costs.

Re: We Are Exemt From Your Morality

This passage was quoted in "Elliott Wave Principle" by Robert Prechter. Briefly, his thesis is that human social mood is a patterned fractal, and that there are identifiable wave patterns at all degrees of trend, from minutes to centuries, most easily observable in the stock market price record. The...

I'm out. I'm not playing the game. I've already said that. And good luck if you think you have any control over what your own descendants do or think. How dare you claim ownership of your descendants. Your own children will merely tolerate you. You need to realize that. I wouldn't be surprised in t...

My understanding is that Tesla's broadcast power idea ws supposed to rely on "longitudinal" wave propogation, and is not not subject to EM inverse square law power limits. This would be great if it actually exists. Somwwhere I read that the technology of automatic door sensors uses some form of L-wa...

So does this mean that WB-7 was actually burning PB11 at some point, or are Dr. Nebel's statements about alpha channeling based on simulations informed by other experimental evidence? That would be a first, I believe, if a polywell were fusing aneutronic fuels.

In practice, democracy is anti-freedom, because individual rights are not respected by mobs intent on electing whoever promises the most "bread and circuses". The distinction between a republic and a democracy is crucial to understanding the difference between collectivist and individualist forms of...
