Logo competition!

I hereby request a competition for icons, logos and various other things that are related. Prize would be a special status in the forum ("artist" instead of "member"). Rules: must be self-made, simple and you must agree that all my use it to their wish. My entry: http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/774...

I believe that fusion has a real possibility to take off in the minds of the people first, and then in the political arena. And I also believe that we must think positive, despite previous experience with the political arena. Realism should focus us onto the best way forward rather than "it cannot ...

. See, for example, the Union of Concerned Scientists' position on nuclear safety. They're not strictly anti-nuclear — nor am I — but they are very concerned about the safety of our nuclear power plants, and have helped to get a number of them shut down. Too bad that the Union is a subject of contr...

Worth mentioning, I suppose, that Al Gore sat on a variety of military and non-military committees in the Senate; he's pretty well-versed in this stuff, and knows a fair bit of physics- strictly amateur-level, but still, I'd be very surprised if he didn't know the difference between fission and fus...

Zixinus, I'm detecting some prejudice on your part again. Smile That's a gut reaction actually. Moreover, he may well be against "nuclear power" but that would mean fission power. There are some coherent reasons to be against that. You may or may not agree with those reasons, but regardless, none o...

That's why I'm asking about him. Dr.Krall can help us clear up and reveal technical details, and I recall that he isn't struggling with health issues.

Most likely, unless he or she believes in the thing. If we can get such a person as a volunteer, that would help immensely.

I don't think they have enough money to fund the research, and I'm sure that they won't due to political concern.

I find it a sad story that such a country has to be without electricity because of the paranoia of the West.

Al Gore is a politician, and by very definition is useless when it comes to anything actually done.

EDIT: furthermore, I recall that he was against nuclear power of any kind.

Yes, that's the one. Can you supply more details? The Space Show's audio quality is very bad (either that, or the USA has horrible phone line service).

Although Solo has a point: change for the better will only happen if people allow change for the better. If an Oil Prince suddenly sobers up, and realizes what's happening and realizes that he cannot stop it, its a big question whether he tries to delay the change or accept it and start doing busine...
