Re: Mach Effect progress

SpaceShow interview with Dr Woodward about Mach Effect http://thespaceshow.com/detail.asp?q=2509 "We welcomed back Dr. Jim Woodward to the program to discuss the Mach Effect, Mach thrusters and drive, and breakthrough propulsion. During our discussion, Dr. Woodward mentioned his book, "Mak...

Re: EM Drive

Every photon will spend some time as a virtual electron plus its antiparticle, the virtual positron, since this is allowed by quantum mechanics as described above. Though this is true, it is irrelevant. The question is not whether these virtual particles have being, it is whether they exist and thu...

Re: EM Drive

a post by Dr. Rodal in the current page of the thread at NSF I should also note that there are a number of prestigious scientists that wholly disagree with John Baez's assertion that virtual particles are just a bookkeeping device and that they are not real ( http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.p...

Re: Propellantless propulsion from plain-old Special Relativ

That definition was deliberately chosen to exclude smaller solar objects that are farther from the sun. well, yes, just like we needed a definition back in the 19th century to exclude all the thousands of objects we started finding on the asteroid belt, and Ceres also ended up being removed from th...

Re: Propellantless propulsion from plain-old Special Relativ

The recent decision of the criteria for a planet is arbitrary and foolish. The requirement for the body to be large enough to gravitationally form a sphere is reasonable, but how perfect of a sphere do you need? The Earth is egg shaped, and what about mountains? 1 - The object must be in orbit arou...

Re: Propellantless propulsion from plain-old Special Relativ

are you saying that anyone who supported the reclassification is not a real scientist? One would think real scientists have better things to do than focus on something so trivial. it was not trivial at all, just like taxonomy definitions on biology are not trivial. there were good reasons to...

Re: Propellantless propulsion from plain-old Special Relativ

Mr March; I assume you are far far far more familiar with Dr Woodward's nailing down spurious signals than I but I just got through that portion of his book. He basically nuked every potential source of spurious signal in his apparatus and because he is using a nearly identical set up until you get...

Re: Mach Effect progress

That is all news to me. I thought they had funding until July. Makes one wonder what is up at JSC. posted on February 22th "Treat this thing as a large collection of Casimir Cavities, might work if I can convince Dr. White to do so, and only after we both read through your referenced papers on...

Re: Mach Effect progress

What details? You do realize it's all PR, yes? I am talking about Paul March's answering questions over the details of the experiments and test aparatus at NSF. He also said he will probably retire by the end of march and continue the experiments at home. And anyway, it was already said that he bel...

I could swear that back on the NSF locked thread you and Rodal arrived at the conclusion that those effects at the test articles tested by Dr White could NOT be caused by Mach Effects.

Re: Mach Effect progress

to tell the truth, I am not sure why we are discussing history even though it´s an interesting argument.

Is that part about discovering the Americas THAT important regarding the necessity for researching Mach Effect Thrusters?
