What does the picture on the EMC2 homepage prove in this respect? Isnt a certain well depth a necessary condition to obtain a plasma of that kind? What is the visible beam that stretches into the plasma? Some kind of diagnostics? The man in charge of this spectacle claims they have achieved high pow...

By the way: Any comments on Indreks rather serious and seemingly wellfounded objections here: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/IEC_Fusion/message/1403 A comment not founded in any reasonings of technical nature is that dr. Nebel would certainly not speak publicly of scaling this technology into po...

Have you ever heard of TRIZ "Теория решения изобретательских задач” (Teoriya Resheniya Izobretatelskikh Zadatch) meaning "The theory of solving inventor's problems"

I have taken a closer look at that company in the swedish national company registry. Its a company with limited responsibility, registration code 556629-6264 and its assets are rather small <800 000 SEK (1 $=6 SEK) The managing director is a person by the name of Leif Alexander Arnold and the person...

Picture just changed, I'm seeing a beautiful shot of the coils and a Helium plasma May one conclude from this that they have found the electrone capture mechanism and the wiffle ball to work largely as predicted by dr. Bussard? And, consequently, that the time is ripe to add some ions into the stew...

If the thing is completely dead...

no electron capture, no neutrons whatsoever we should propably have heard of it now.

Positive results will probably result in a long period of silence.

Perhaps lead cooling of the outermost layer of the coils is an option? Then it could be kept at zero pressure. Or at least no more pressure than is needed to keep the coolant flowing. Which may be an advantage. It should also give some neutron shielding. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lead_cooled_fast...

There is certainly a lot to find out about the polywell. Even the fundamental principle is yet to be proven. My idea was that those losses should be somewhat size dependent. With a larger coils you have a larger confined volume where the reactions occur and you dont have to push that much electricit...

p-B11 with direct conversion is of course the preferred option. Unfortunately we live in an imperfect world and we need a better energy source yesterday. If this thing could hasten the departure of fossile fuels running D-D with 10 meter coppercoils in waterjackets and steamturbines some losses due ...

Possible simplifications by running D-D and steamcycle?

Are there any shortcuts to fusion power to be made with a D-D polywell running steam turbines? Perhabs huge coils with water cooling could do in that case? If the superconductivity could be omitted from the coils it would greatly simply things. If the p-B11 reaction for some reason doesnt work and i...
