Re: Avalanche Energy

To achieve Fusion one of the things that you need is an electric potential (a pressure) to accelerate the ions at a speed high enough to facilitate the fusion process. [.......good text......] that is limiting the useful potential to 15/20Kv for most applications. [.......good text......] am so exc...

Re: Avalanche Energy

Unfortunately, I am unable to grasp what a feedthrough to vacuum is, what it does and why it is a good thing to have. And particulary why this construction achieves such splendid performance on that key metric.

Re: Jäderberg future power - Swedish fusion startup

Here are some details from the assembly of the first test rigg: https://www.novatronfusion.com/news/2025-novatron-fusion-group-powers-up-x-factor-magnets-during-n1-prototype-tests “The basic idea is to shape the magnetic field in a way where the plasma field is increasing in every direction.... Re: Avalanche Energy

286 kV reached in that feedthrough they are working on:

Yesterday that same feedthrough hit 286 kilovolts (kV)! Our Series A milestone is 300 kV, we are very close and going for it next week.
The patent on it is also mentioned.

Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024

Article with David Kirtley among the authors published monday this week: https://arxiv.org/abs/2501.03425 An improved understanding of Field Reversed Configuration (FRC) merging and stability in high acceleration and compression magnetic fields is needed to speed up the development of the pulsed fus...

3 million euro of EU-funding allocated to something called the TauEB project. The sum is shared between KTH Royal Institute of Technology, KIPT (Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology), UKAEA, and KIC INNOENERGY SE. Key Innovation: The project introduces a first-of-its-kind integration of three...

Re: LazeraH AB - Rydberg matter fusion startup

From my knowledge no one was ever able to replicate the Holmlid effect except Holmlid himself. This should rise some red flags at the minimum. This one? https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-0221/19/08/P08014 We verify some of the work on using clustered hydrogen and laser to accelerate p...

LazeraH AB - Rydberg matter fusion startup

I put this swedish startup company on the screen:

https://www.lazerah.com/

Fusion power from the Holmlid effect in Rydberg matter. There are published articles but from what I gather on the web the scholars refuse to believe in them.

Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024

That would make a lot of noise. Broad access to clean and abundant energy is more important for national security than any military application. AND if they are in some way restricted and slowed down, the Chinese will take over the market like they did with fission and batteries, etc. The question ...

C-2W operations have now reached a mature level where the machine can produce hot, stable, long-lived, and repeatable plasmas in a well-controlled manner.

If the homework isn´t done and ample motivation is provided to show why a polywell is a good project to pursue, begging on kickstarter will just discredit both kickstarter and the polywell
