His philosophy was to acknowledge that individuals are looking after their own interests. You see anything in the recent debacles that refutes that? In this country, no...but the US is so dramatically individualistic that if we weren't a superpower we would be termed mentally ill. The second part o...

Blaming this on Reagan is like giving the Rooster the credit for the sunrise . I would point out that most of the "Greed" of the 80s and 90s was promulgated by the "baby boom" generation. A more selfish and narcissistic group of people there never was. The baby boom Generation has been far more Amo...

I beleive this attitude is a direct result of the policies since Reagan. I wish Ronnie was still alive. He would no doubt find it humorous that he is directly responsible for a fact of human nature in evidence for some 3,000 or so years of recorded history. My prediction: Carter II is President. In...

It doesn't seem to make any sense when you put that in there. Lending money to ONLY good credit risks seems like the opposite of a bad business plan. How does this make you go bankrupt ? Because many, probably even most, people who did take TARP money took it because they had to or go under. Theref...

I know this is probably futile. The people who agree already know all this, and the people who disagree don't want to hear it, but in the off chance that some good may come of it I decided to post it for perusal by others. http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2009/03/pop_quiz_for_democrats.html Davi...

The Rule of 150 talks about the number of people you can directly have a relationship with. 2000 is about the number you can recognize on sight and remember personal details accurately. Hierarchy is actually almost a necessity at about 30 people. Under exceptionally specific conditions you can get u...

I see two flaws in the film... First, true deocracy does exist and it is stable over many generations...the limit is always the size of the population. True democracy only works when you personally know everyone under that government. Small towns (under 2,000 people) can be run under a true democrac...

Except that there is nothing preventing a private company or even China from doing the same research.

$200 million really isn't much money. I am Certain that if China starts looking at it (they probably already have started) and it becomes common knowledge, the US will leap into financing it...

I remeber THAT's what every single Media outlet kept repeating ad infinitum. Actually when you take scientific surveys of media personel you find that the reporters are essentially neutral with a slight lean to the left (1-2% more dems than the general population). You find that the editors and med...

Remember when Newt shut down the federal government because Clinton wanted a bigger budget? Remember being told Republicans wanted single mothers and their children to starve in the streets? Remember the Balanced Budget Amendment, that Dems defeated? The GOP has not been good, but it's delusional t...

A Launch Loop (possible with today's tech but expensive) to make space access easy and solar satalliets with microwave transmission.

The launch loop is a good idea even with BFR because it is a fuel-less launch system. It can save fuel and pollution from launches which increases availible pay load.

No, I am NOT an expert on this, but I haven't seen anything yet by anyone that is an expert on alpha impingement on diamond coatings. Anyone know one? But for rockets you would want the highest energy for the weight or p-p fusion. Neutron sputtering would become a problem since you can't slow them ...

That's a creative idea. Now, I could be wrong because I'm an aerospace engineer, not electrical or chemical, but you would have to fill the entire reaction chamber with a solution that has dissolved ions in it. Then you would need to put a potential on the protective cases of the coils, as if they ...

My question is, who said they had to be "replaced"? From everything I have read, the coils and walls will be coated with something to protect against sputtering etc. All that need to be replaced is this covering. So, turn off the thing, seal the exhaust (for a rocket) and pump in some reserve slurry...

Won't that bullet proof west go off like a bomb if the "ESU" takes a direct hit? Based on the two patents and various press releases, the EEStor units contain thousands of electrically issolated units in the greater capacitor. The idea is that each capacitor is directly linked to ground and no indi...
