I think it is a good thing that spin off technologies from fusion can start to generate revenue to help directly the fusion development and also indirectly by increasing the chances of new investements.

No one seems to be announcing demonstration machine build funding reached, and project initiation. Either investor cash has died of China Virus or performance targets have failed to have been reached. Smells like Fusion is in need of a China Virus ventilator and cure. The article from December 2019 is the journal published version of the preprint published in January 2019. The results are quite interesting.
