Throughout history technology has been the driving force of anthropogenic change. Technology is an enabler rather than a result. And this is way we have so many problems. Technology is just one dimension of transformation. Without changes in legislation, organization, processes, concepts, and (by fa...

I think this ties into another implication for the social environment. I think that, in general, people don't trust technology, and view it as a force for evil in the world. I think that the technology=evil is an older generation thing. Because the younger generation is convinced that technology ca...

Earlier you were talking about flying dreadnoughts armed with lasers and phalanxes parked over every sketchy country ready to intervene whenever they look like they might want to prevent you from parking a flying dreadnought over them... in effect, world takeover... and you think space weapons, a v...

Why not just give the stuff to the country and let them stick it in a shed on the ground? Because then we dont look like heros with our giant beacon of hope. We can even put obama on the side of it. You know we could just forget the whole humanitarian blimp idea, because its getting really hard to ...

Regarding laser weaponry, if I were expecting someone to use it against me I might surround likely targets with corner cube retro-reflectors. I think that would work except the ones i was looking at are circular so there would be gaps in the shield. Edmund scientific has them, but 76mm worth is 575...

. . .but it's a BLIMP! They don't ever "zip" anywhere. Hehe, ya true, but it doesn't need to because it will already be there in the global blimp NWO scenario. It would make a neat aerial cruise ship with balcony rooms, casinos, etc. then only terrorist would shoot at it. If you want to send aid, y...

I think this ties into another implication for the social environment. I think that, in general, people don't trust technology, and view it as a force for evil in the world. Until they need a doctor, or want to turn on a computer, or wish to cool their domicile in the summer or heat it in the winte...

World police state? The other first world nations might not agree. Maybe in the NWO scenario. Could just be US aid blimps with peacekeeping/riot control weapons on-board. Like the microwave antipersonnel equipment I read about somewhere. I think I prefer to break the space weapons ban instead. It's...

The AGW craze is going to go down in history as the world's largest hoax. whats wrong with air generated water? (AGW) We use it here in our office to water our plants and stuff, comes out of the AC unit, pretty strait forward. Does not take much to make it bigger, aka giant polywell dehumidifiers. ...

I would beg to differ with this suggestion. Me too but everyone works their hardest when the are attacked/offended. the smartest (which some of you would argue "therefore it will never happen") thing our govt (not the Navy, this would be much much much bigger than the Navy) could do was immediately...

We can stop mortars and artillery small bullets would not be more than 10-20 years past that on a military only budget. But, you need that capability for civilian space vehicles anyway for debris shields, the technologies could drive each other putting you in the 5-15 year time frame. As for 1 shot ...

Don't get me wrong I am not anti capitalism. My ultimate wet dream is to mine asteroids privately and become one of the first people worth trillions of dollars. If it were up to me we would have a benevolent cyborg capitalist dictator. The purpose of my post discuss how the darker (weapons, corporat...
