You just can't use them to do it *twice*. To hell with "twice" if two times of different lauch vehicles allow you to do the same job at lower cost. What this is called in English? Not "cost effectivness"? Exactly. Which is the real reason why the shuttle program finally got the axe. Non-reusable la...

You are clearly cherrypicking. Amsterdam has liberal drug laws (not "anything goes", but a lot of stuff that's banned elsewhere is legal there). No police state. The US didn't have notable prohibitory drug laws until the 20th century, and the history of intrusive policing in the US has been entirely...

If they can't get break-even with D-T they won't get it with anything else, either. I see that Mr. Kahuna and Mr. Zapkitty both believe that for Focus Fusion group is very easy to achieve break-even for DT. And I am only trying to explain them that this is also not a trivial task. Nobody argues tha...

You're making a host of completely unfounded assertions for which you have no evidence. You're saying drug use didn't injure arab culture and people. I'm saying it did. You don't have reason the arab peoples are so backward. I do. You sound like someone who will maintain their position no matter ho...

They had the poppies, they invented the technique, as a society they were not crushed by it. What were they crushed by? What explains how backward they are in general? Well, they weren't crushed by centuries of European crusades against them during the time period at issue . https://en.wikipedia.or...

DT, a mixture of deuterium and tritium, is indeed the low-hanging fruit on the fusion tree and it is relatively easy to burn in a fusion reactor. If that is so "easy" do it and I guarantee you Nobel prize and may be you will become a billionare as well. Though in the second I am not so sure but am ...

I like multiple use craft, but their only real advantage is cost savings due to not having to build the whole blessed thing over for each mission.
Cost savings that the space shuttle failed to realize.

You clearly dont understand how this works. I have relatives in Austria that are married to some of the richest families there. These people live in castles that belong to the family trust. They have cars with driver paid for by the family trust. They have private jets paid for by the family trust....

The Arabs *invented* the use of opium as a drug before the English even had an empire. My friend has reminded me that taking drugs would have been regarded as against Islam. There are differing interpretations of the prohibition, some say that it is a prohibition specifically against alcohol, other...

we are looking at centuries of opium availability throughout Asia where the exponential addiction trend you note from China did not happen despite a lack of laws controlling it for most of that time. Your sample is too large. Someone doped up on opium can stumble along behind a plow, but they can't...

The Arabs *invented* the use of opium as a drug before the English even had an empire. Opium flourished in the Arab world, as in Islam opiates were not proscribed in the same way as alcohol. In the 7th century, the Islamic cultures of western Asia had discovered that the most powerful narcotic and m...

So you are suggesting putting the vacuum chamber entirely within the polywell device instead of putting the polywell inside the vacuum chamber? My first thought is that wall collisions at the cusps would be a problem, but I can see [s]why you might think that it would[/s] how it could be useful for ...
