Constrained in what way? By whom?

Re: Dr. Park to speak at UW-Madison

Two questions for UW-Madison seminar (wish I could be there!) 1. Dr. Park, Just for the sake of discussion, let us suppose that you could get $50 million/per year in federal money for six years - perhaps enough to build a full-scale, break-even, p-B11 Polywell demonstration reactor, with perhaps eno...

Re: Alan Boyle's Latest On Polywell

Variations on my three earlier questions: 1. Why did Navy stop funding Polywell? Impatience? Politics? Money? 2. Would Dr. Park build the full-scale Polywell if he could get the $200+ million? Is it really necessary to test the bigger guns on the WB-8 first, or is he asking for "only" $30 million be...

Is the Navy still interested in the Poly...

Locked in a Catch 22 funding loop

An acquaintance of mine -now retired- who worked at Lawrence Livermore, recently suggested that Polywell's chances for big (as in $350 million) Energy Department funding would be better if there were published peer-reviewed papers in reputable journals on recent successes of the Polywell. But Navy O...

Aneutronics: to Slow the Rising Tide

Go to polywellnuclearfusion.com and download "Aneutronics: to Slow the Rising Tide". (It's a free PDF, and very easy to download: just click on "Aneutronics: to Slow the Rising Tide" at the top of the home page.) Then read the suggestions on the last page of the PDF and take action. Re: To Fly from Folly: Saving the Polywell

Not bad so far. Have read about half. Probably didn't need so many pictures or URLS :) Also feels a bit forced. I just did an extensive rewrite which is already on Amazon Kindle ebook. (I also edited the above description - taking the rewrite into consideration.) If Amazon/Kindle thinks the changes...

Re: Recovery.Gov Project Tracker

...they need more money for the raw engineering crunch and larger prototype. But DoD can't give them $100 million or more cash as required for that, because that DoE would get involved, and DoE would say that Polywell can't work, and DoE would block larger funding. This has been conventional wisdom...

Is the ABSENCE of news, news?

There’s been enough time, people. The Polywell is not a difficult concept. Either we do not yet have a viable commercial Polywell because it can’t possibly work; or we do not yet have a viable commercial Polywell because a decisively large and influential group of business interests do not want it t...

Big question

And then there's the BIG question: are these.researchers suggesting that after the Herbertsmithite crystal is divided, the dance of the now separated domains continues to be synchronized - that is, the domains continue to be quantum entangled? Thus we see that the fabled ansible (subspace communicat...

synchronized dance?

Let me see if I am picturing this correctly: is the article saying that in Herbertsmithite, the magnetic domains are continuously varying in some sort of synchronized dance?

Also, I'm wondering how neutrons.could measure such a variation in states?
