Hey people, lets step back and look at this. The first question I have is, what is our beef? Is it that we're concerned that EESTOR might be a scam because we don't have any information or prototypes showing that it works, even though mass production starts in a matter of months? I would be concerne...

This is some interesting information. It says that Pickens is in it for the water, implying that wind is only a beneficial diversion.

The Energy Innovations Small Grant program sponsored by the California Energy Commission passes out grant money, to see if ideas have any merit. The grants are small, $50-$95,000, and only about 30 grants per year are funded, but they are very carefully evaluated by experts (or as close as can be fo...

Yes, confirmed that the advantage of the equator derives from the direction and rate of rotation of the Earth. Orbital velocity is about 17,000 mph around the center of mass. Earth's rotation causes the launch vehicle to be traveling about 1000 mph eastward around the center of mass, as it sits on t...

Hi drmike, I have been posting to a design thread (direct conversion) where we really need a value for the radius of an area within the Polywell that I have dubbed the "fusion core." I define the fusion core as that area where conditions exist for p-B11 fusion and from where alpha particles may be ...

Is that consistent with the experimental results from WB-6?

The WB-6 final report gives the following summary table:

Summary of last 5 tests
1) 5.0kV, 800A B-field, 1 count
2) 9.8kV, 750A B-field, 2 counts
3) 12.5kV, 700A B-field, 2 counts
4) 12.5kV, 800A B-fiel(1 kG) d, 3 counts
5) 14kV 1000A B-field, 1 count (while leg failing)

I hope this helps.

93143, I'm pretty straight forward, I try to say what I mean. Please don't read inferences into my work unless I state them explicitly. If you think that my published result implies a further consequence, feel free to publish the consequence, but take the credit for yourself. Please don't try to put...

The minor torus diameter of the magnetic coils being the same in the two different Polywell configurations results from the assumption that the dodec coil major torus diameter was half the truncube coil major torus diameter. That results in the circumference being half also, but there are twice the...

@Aero: I would think the fusion core would be fairly small - otherwise we have a problem with fusion-energy ions being at the edge of the wiffleball, which is bad for confinement. But I don't really know. The magnets will hopefully be fairly narrow, so as to achieve better than 80% transparency - a...

I really do have several questions, the answers to which I believe will cast some light on our problem of shadows and repellers. I want to use a term that is not well defined, at least to me. The term is "fusion core" and by that I mean that particular lumpy spherical area within the polywell where ...

Yes. I think all of us who have lived through the Microsoft Windows life cycle understand exactly what you mean. Sell the promise. Or maybe its, "Sell the sizzle, not the steak!"
