Is it back?
Got a new phone a bit back, just tried the page and it loaded properly. Is the forum back up now?
Re: EM Drive
No one ever did an audit of other satellites to see if the oddity he found was more consistent.

Re: Dark matter theories
If a tiny asteroid weighs a million tons, it's going to be obvious in it's orbit and those of objects around it. Like a few other crazy theories I've seen, it's easy enough to test it's not worth mentioning without the results of the test. I believe he is referring to rapidly spinning asteroids tha...

Re: SpaceX News
Read an article recently on Europe's launch systems. It talked about what I recall was like a decade of plans, but no mention at all of developing a reusable rocket in the Falcon vein. Blew my mind.

Focus Fusion news
Anyone else here following Focus Fusion on Facebook? I could do without the climate change junk, but they're showing bits of the assembly of their new reactor. Ultrasonic soldering, beryllium, and safety boxes.

So how much trouble would it be for seals and stuff- - actually building an engine? Plus safety matters. Plus security, this is an explosive component.

Was it here I was reading about him wanting to use steel?
It's not just strength ratios to worry about, a mostly carbon fiber rocket would have a different radiation risk.

Re: Extraterrestrial colony companies
Talk about thread drift. I just went back and looked, there were a couple of posts about financing with the bank idea, but none of the rest directly addresses the idea of colony mutual funds and such for financing individual or group colonization.

Re: Extraterrestrial colony companies
Forgot about this thread. Some interesting articles, but still no comments about having future colonists invest in a colony and fund their move now, rather than later.
Re: EM Drive
We will have to see what Woodward does to address it. It might be a decent shot to try a different design, like the magnetic oscillator I've mentioned. While there is magnetic issues to be dealt with the cap stack could be on an air bearing or something and thus have no space for Dean drive effects ...

Re: Deneum - deuterium/titanium interaction produces energy
The metal- hydrogen reactions seem to be the most sensical of the theories, does titanium even fit with the pattern of most researchers using nickel or palladium?
