If you're interested in opencl in java, there's JavaCL . From your previous work I know you're most familiar with CUDA, so you could also give jcuda a whirl. I can't speak for javacl, but jcuda worked ok for me when I was doing some extremely basic poc work during an evaluation of amazon's gpu clust...
