Re: ITER under attack
http://phys.org/news/2015-05-star-power-iter-nuclear-fusion.html At this point I certainly support pulling out. It has more than tripled in cost and we are paying for European jobs. It's not our place to employ Europeans. It's bad enough when our stuff goes over budget, but there is no reason to pay...

ITER under attack
http://knoxblogs.com/atomiccity/2015/05/19/senate-bill-has-zero-funds-for-iter-alexander-says-money-could-be-better-used-elsewhere/ $150M/year might not sound like much money when compared to the DOE budget, but it is a LOT of money when one looks at funding for fusion in general. Imagine if that we...

Re: NASA's 3D Printed Habitat Challenge
Personally, I think the whole notion of printing such large volumes misses the point of the real benefits to be had with additive manufacturing. NASA needs to stop treating 3D printing as a fad and think more seriously. Especially when you look at what an energy intense process sintering of any kind...

Re: Police Brutality Statistics
With dozens or hundreds of tough guys armed with knives and guns, and actually fighting with both, it's a wonder they didn't kill each other. Surely they would have and the carnage would have been far worse, had not the police intervened. It is noteworthy that the criminals here, were using both kni...

Re: Latest drug addict loons.
. . .people may think that if they’re risking a fine or jail time anyway they may as well buy the stronger drugs Only drug users try to get people to believe nonsense like this. Obviously people do not think this way, and you have to be a drug user, to believe arguments that are so strained and idi...

Re: Latest drug addict loons.
. . .the WOD probably caused the huge spike in the THC content of pot surely didn't prevent it. You must have finally realized your arguments have no weight, to be repeating these trite banalities over and over in complete disregard that they don't come to the issue, even were they true, which obvi...
