The current subsidies and incentives make...

Business and community leaders who are beginning to feel the pinch of fossil fuel pollution taxes Just the business and community leaders by voluntary donation and not the business/communities themselves then, that's okay but unlikely I suspect. I was alarmed you were suggesting to use forcible tax...

I just googled ceramatec battery and then coorstec battery and only found "one of these days" references. Worse yet, Popular Mechanics is writing about it, which tells me that they don't expect it to change the status quo any time soon.

My take is that every community could have at least one fusion research inculab if they were to begin promoting the idea that they wanted one. Interesting, who are you expecting to pay for all these community fusion labs? Business and community leaders who are beginning to feel the pinch of fossil ...

Inc Magazine's new issue has an article about a bunch of startup incubators around the country with similar ideas to mine, except for the networking part. (VC interests and all).:D My take is that every community could have at least one fusion research inculab if they were to begin promoting the ide...

There is another LPP update on Nextbigfuture: http://nextbigfuture.com/2010/04/lawrenceville-plasma-physics-look-in.html#more In all three cases, Ti exceeds 40 keV, and in the best shot it exceeds 65 keV. [...] For comparison, ion energies of around 100 keV will be enough to ignite pB11 fuel, given...

The hurry is to beat next-gen nukes to construction

Connecting a few dots shows a progression from the lack of cost-effective energy to make W's hydrogen economy work through Dopenhagen, and into "our" enlightened new fission-based clean economy, now that carbon taxes are already on the books and the coming C.L.E.A.R. act make it clear that fossil fu...

I once had a debate with someone about how many aircraft carriers were built during WW2. I'd seen a documentary that twice said the US built 400+ carriers. On further investigation, somewhere around 150 to 160, with about 100 being CVE or jeep carriers. The CVE was supposed to stand for Combustible...

Concerning the FF (DPF) reactor as a space power source. As the need for increasing power goes up the advantages of a high Q, direct conversion system like the Polywell becomes more advantagous. But for small applications- like interplanatary probs, the small size and weight (?) of the FF might be ...
