Re: Hot lead fixed my computer. Fixed it real good.
Nice job. Hopefully it will last. I have a friend that fixed many systems doing exactly as you did. One time back in the 1990s I had a Commodore Amiga that would occasionally crash after it got hot. Turns out one of the proprietary chips (Fat Agnus?) just needed to be re-socketed because the heat gu...

Re: SpaceX News
I'm all for SpaceX success and 1 launch a day, but that make it even sooner we have to are going to have to clean up all this junk cheaply or it will just pulverize itself into a cloud of crap and all good orbits are going to be worthless. Need some robotic clean-up sats and maybe some powerful grou...

https://animpossibleinvention.com/2016/05/16/rossi-makes-offer-on-swedish-factory-building-plus-more-updates/ Lewan met with Rossi. Lots of discussion points, but I thought these few were kind of interesting. I'll quote and comment. During summer 2015, IH offered Rossi to back out from the test and ...

Re: LENR Is Real
Its not quite that simple. Don't forget that this will be a jury trial. If the timeline shows IH soliciting investments throughout their relationship with Rossi, and obtaining such funds, it puts them in a duplicitous light. If that is the case, believe Rossi will walk away with a nice little settle...

Hey, that is good work by that kid! I'm interested in seeing what, if anything, is there when it can be explored by expedition.

Re: New Polywell Article On HotGas
"...misrepresent himself..." not really, it is a grey area. I think it is pretty much the objective take here from most of the people on the thread. Would I do it with similar resume? No, but I don't think it deserves this kind of passion. Have at it on the Dr. Rossi thing though, I'm fully behind t...

Re: New Polywell Article On HotGas
There It may be better to say it is less controlled than PE. You may wish this to be true, and even be campaigning for this to become true, but it doesn't represent present reality. A quick look on any job site will show lots of advertised jobs with the title "engineer" that require experience firs...

I think it achieved those objectives, judging from the comments at that site.MSimon wrote: It is a relatively non technical article for the general public.
Lots of people who had never heard of Polywell were introduced.

Re: New Polywell Article On HotGas
Hmm...so was Steve Wozniak an engineer, or just a talented hardware and software hacker, when he designed the early Apple systems, or after he got his degree in 1986, which was well after his more important contributions? In my mind, he was an engineer (little 'e' perhaps) as soon as he started desi...

Re: LENR Is Real
Exactly it. I see a lot of talk on some other blogs as to how the "customer" must have regulated the production of heat as needed. Which would make sense if they didn't need the full capacity 24x7 to save energy. But the idea of the proof of concept test was to produce the full load for a year. So t...

Same thoughts here when reading that!Carl White wrote:Rather pitiful though how triumphant they're all sounding that we're stuck with hugely expensive, explosion-prone rockets as the only way off Earth for the foreseeable future.

Re: LENR Is Real
Its is enough to heat what? 200 homes? Maybe in Miami. Already sweltering heat down there. But enough heat for at least dozens of houses even in the north. I am surprised the neighboring businesses didn't bitch about it since the paint should have been peeling from the walls and there electric cost...

Re: SpaceX News
There is an anti-SpaceX crank I've been entertained to read name of Gary Church. Anyone now what his reaction has been to SpaceX landing on the barge successfully? I can't find the guy and don't know if he died or finally got banned from the last sites that had been putting up with him. He's the gu...
Re: EM Drive
I like the cubesat idea. Maybe some people at SpaceX could be convinced to haul a little one up to the ISS with payment as the rights to the IP on the off chance that it works. And NASA designs and pays for and builds the test cubesat.
