And time required to recover and re-launch is much lower. It will take a great deal of time to recover and return the second stage of the F-9 to the launch site.

Just googled "length of falcon 9 first stage" and got 47.7 meters with interstage. That's ~156.5 feet.

I second that. NEVER let yourself believe that the simulation is reality. They are much more helpful after experiments, used to discover where the current understanding of reality is amiss.
