Re: Jimmy Carter All Over Again
darn it. I wanted to hear more Jimmy Carter vs. Obama comparisons and contrasts. Even from our moderator. Just not more stoner Cheech and Chong crap, maaan. Please. Well OK. Here is one that is not quite so OT. Republicans believe in in ignoring the Constitution when it suits them. So does Obama. I...

Re: Jimmy Carter All Over Again
My apologies, folks.
I should have known better than to mention what I did.
It's like dropping a screwdriver across the terminals of a fully-charged capacitor bank.

Re: Jimmy Carter All Over Again
There's a lot of unhappy people out here - and I don't think the Dems realize just how unhappy they are. Problem is the Republicans know just what to do to take the edge off. Running Obamacare lite in an anti-Obamacare year? It is the same as saying "You are screwed no matter who you vote for." Bri...

Re: Jimmy Carter All Over Again
My impression of Jimmy Carter was that he tried to govern by opinion poll, unfortunately opinion polls at the time clearly demonstrated that people wanted to have it both ways on all issues. Your current president's governing philosophy would appear to be based more on Saul Alinsky/Frankfurt School...

Re: Jimmy Carter All Over Again
I see no evidence that Carter hated the US. With the current putz his contempt for the country oozes from every pore. They had to go with someone photogenic and charismatic, regardless of what was inside the wrapper. Hillary couldn't cut it, accomplishment-wise, and still can't. She wouldn't have h...

Re: Jimmy Carter All Over Again
Ol' Jimmy's looking better and better in hindsight. He may have not done all that much for the military (in fact, he was pretty bad in fighting for the military budget...) but he at least nominally believed in the need for a military that could project force around the world. Obama... well, it says ...

Re: Ice Cap increase 29%, Reality laughs at Models.
This reminds me of the Larry Niven novel Fallen Angels . The background for the story is that the radical environmentalists get control of government, put laws into place and take action to "stop global warming" and this brings on an ice age that (per the book) was being held off because of AGW. An...

Keep an eye on the Great Lakes then - if the ice there persists through a summer, you might want to consider getting out before the rush.ladajo wrote:Oh crap! I live at 41N!

GT, :D You seem to be a arguing for taking activism out of the science. That would be a breath of fresh air. It would require dealing with the insurance company big government cronies (fighting for palace at the trough along with that back stabbing crook Keystone Pipeline and insurance company owni...

http://ocean.dmi.dk/arctic/meant80n.uk.php Take a look at the annual arctic temperature profile, records in graphic form go back on this site to 1958. If anything, 2013 summer temperature was colder than the temperature in 1958. How is it that the global temperature models could have any relation t...

Re: Ice Cap increase 29%, Reality laughs at Models.
Tools of bullying come with politicizing science. Instead of advancing science by politically directing resources to climate science to clarify what human environment impact might be doing to climate, instead, the science has turned into full blown censorship from those in political Power, the curr...

You know that '97%' thing? You might be interested in the actual methodology they used on that. Re: Ice Cap increase 29%, Reality laughs at Models.
In the mean time, Colorado got 3 ft. of snow. http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/05/12/us-usa-weather-idUSBREA4A0A020140512 Happened before, nothing unusual and weather is not climate. Uh huh. Weather IS climate, oddly enough, when you get enough of it for a long enough time. :) In all honesty, I ...

Re: Ice Cap increase 29%, Reality laughs at Models.
A few things: 1. People are comparing the SURFACE of the ice cap to the volume of ice. This is a nono. The surface area has increased this year, but not the volume. 2. The ice on water is irrelevant. You should care about the ice on land and that is looking bleak: http://gizmodo.com/the-antarctic-i...

Re: Benghazi: the gift that keeps on giving
I think I and others are getting to the point where a sh*t we do not give if someone thinks we're racists. We can thank Obama for that as well. He's made everything "Racist", which had become just a code word he and his supporters use to cover up the fact that he is a complete imbecile and that eve...
