Some interesting developments on this front. It looks like Zenn is going for an R&D center in MI supported by DOE funds and that they have some political support. The support appears to be contingent on EEStor being "real" and "near-term" which is interesting. Also, some visibility into the EEStor f...

I believe Rowan has been working closely with BLP for some time. As I've said before, I suspect they have a moderately novel chemical reaction here. I very much doubt they have created fractional electron states, as they claim. Mills' theory is crazy, and the sensible portions of his published work...

mvanwink5, Agree completely on the Polywell express. Very exciting. Unfortunately, it's almost as difficult to get hard news on Polywell as EEStor. You are probably right on EEStor, but its an interesting story to watch unfold. It costs me little to keep an eye on both stories, so I will continue to...

Mvanwink5, I fear you have mistaken me for an EEStor believer. In fact I'm an agnostic observer at this point. While not remotely qualified to pass technical jusdgement, there are lots of very smart folks on both sides of the EEStory. Its actually the social science that is more compelling than the ...

EEStor Patents

Perhaps that's what Weir has in mind. If he keeps this very quiet until he is ready to start production; then perhaps he can develop deep pockets quickly and fend off the patent challenges. We shall see.

That makes some sense. Many think that Dick Wier does not understand the science as well as an inventor should. However, he has been granted some patents, so we will see.

Rowan Recipe

I'm no chemist, but it looks like there is a complete recipe in here http://www.blacklightpower.com/pdf/RowanHydrinoReport2009.pdf and here http://www.blacklightpower.com/pdf/RowanChemSummer2009Report.pdf to replicate the Rowan validation of BLP claims. They even include sourcing for all the chemica...

EEStor Summary

For those that are interested, this article does as good a job at summarizing the current EEStor status in a balanced fashion as anything I have seen:

Actually, this interview was conducted just recently and he is referring to delivering pre-production units off his automated line to Zenn in the fourth quarter. But you are right, EEStor has missed several milestones in the past for sure. The captial group that conducted the interview is evidently ...

I don't think they need the money right now and I certainly do not think they want the visibility. If they deliver on their claims by year end, they will have no problem raising an unlimited amount of non-diluting funds. If they don't, I doubt the grant money would help then much. Some here seem to ...

I can't for the life of me understand why a public company making such claims wouldn't do that. EEStor is not a public company. They are about the furthest thing from it. I think most of what is known about EEStor was only released because EEStor hooked up with Zenn Motor which is a public company....

Agreed. If history is any indicator, another delay is likley. However, both EEStor and Zenn have never committed to a schedule as publicly and confidently as they both have this time around. I would definitely say that if they miss this one by too much, there will be a big price to pay for both firm...

I have been following the EEStor saga closely for some time. The story is compelling and if the claims are fullfilled in an actual product, it will surely be a disruptive technology that could change the energy landscape in many important and enduring ways. EEStor has its "believers" and "skeptics,"...
