Why does he dress up his website as if it's about religion? If he's serious about his idea, shouldn't he act serious on his website? "300 symbolic shares of Noblefuse stock" So you don't get money, you don't even get shares incase his company becomes worth anything. You just make the machine, give i...

(snip)...I believe once this surface charge has accumulated, losses into the standoff itself reduce to a minimum. Thank you, I understand now. This also means that it is quite possible to give each coil it's own standoffs (from walls, ceiling) and remove the connection between coils. ... But does t...

At present, the MaGrid coils are supported on four standoffs... ...Some designs I have seen have four standoffs per coil, supported from the roof or walls or floor... ...These touchpoints represent a potential point of electron loss... Tony, does this also mean that the standoffs are also points of...

The polywell is what it is today because of Dr B's quest to design a reactor to run p + B11. It is for all purposes built around this fuel, so we might as well use it. But for spaceflight, you get more eV from He and it requires less energy to generate fusion conditions. I'm guessing they rather go...

....(snip) Advanced Ceramics Research has done work for NASA in this area and may be a helpful resourse. Well I hope my blather is somthing more than just taking up this space and time. What do you think? Anything to this? What can you tell me about Advanced Ceramics Research? Their website doesn't...

I believe Tom Ligon mentioned a problem with Alumina outgassing and contaminating the vacum. Of course there are other usable ceramics, but Alumina seems to be the workhorse when it comes to ceramics. http://outgassing.nasa.gov/ http://www.ee.ualberta.ca/~schmaus/vacf/outgas.html http://esmat.esa.i...

Were ceramic able to be cast around copper wire to the same degree of thickness as the existing magnet wire insulation it would not be sufficiently strong to withstand the slightest jostle. Were it cast with sufficient thickness to be structurally sound, the spacing between wires would be excessive...

Sticky, the great indexer
Asuming this subject (polywell) will hopefully hit a media hype somewhere along the way, would it be a good idea to create a sticky post (reply disabled) where all the worthwhile links to information sources are posted? Starting with basic information about electronics, magnetism. Increasingly compl...

A way to get the spacing between the wires correct while you're winding the coil before casting it in isolation-ceramics, is perhaps by making small ceramic rings/cylinders and putting all the tiny cylinders on the coper wire prior to winding the coil. The problem however could be the copper expandi...

Tungsten coils?
Hi, I'm new  I've read some of the journals and articles, and what I've understood from the last testrun in the defense owned lab is that the power needed to get fusion working (ish) is too much for the coils used. Now the next model needs to use supercooled coils and requires the whole instal...
