Update on General Fusion

Post by joedead »

From Next Big Future

http://nextbigfuture.com/2009/07/genera ... llion.html

"General Fusion, a Burnaby, BC-based company that hopes to generate clean energy from a new form of nuclear fusion, has raised $9 million out of a $12.5 million equity offering, Xconomy has learned."

Does this mean they're ready for the next phase?

I live about 20 miles away from their office in Burnaby, it's at the bottom of the hill leading up to Simon Fraser University. I was somewhat skeptical at first about the liner and pistons but if the lithium can clear out the bottom between shots without spraying the CT accelerators and clogging things up, they might have just as good a chance as polywell.
