Actually, they may be. If they advertised for a NEW unit (WB8) they would have a much tougher time doing a sole source. Note that I don't actually believe they ARE going on to WB8, but I would be HUGELY pleased to be wrong on this one! :D

PS: Does anyone have the ability to get the auto updates on this one? I haven't seen ANY financials from any of the past pre-solicitations either. Were the 10k? Were they 200k? I don't know. Does anyone?

The modifications to WB-7 is probably incorporating the items contracted for earlier...

An ion gun, some instrumentation, and now some funds to fire up WB-7 again, and make some measurements, I would presume.

Being able to compare WB-7 (puffing gas) to WB-7 (w/ion gun) should be worthwhile, and if it hasn't been done yet, better/measurements of where the neutrons come from. BB or BG.

This might mean the ion gun is finished and now will be installed.... ? :-)
I like the p-B11 resonance peak at 50 KV acceleration. In2 years we'll know.
