The presentation by Stephanie Thomas was really good. They are still at least 5 years and 50 million USD away from a break even reactor, though.
Would be cool to see this funded, though. Their reactor concept is very interesting and extremely compact.

Princeton Fusion Systems, which is a subsidiary of Princeton Satellite Systems got 1.25 million from ARPA-E to fund further development of Sam Cohen's PFRC. This is good news, since despite some impressive progress over the years, the PFRC has always been a bit of a stepchild at PPPL with just enough funding to keep the lights on.
