Another thing about Mannhart and co's invention
They use a homogeneous magnetic field to set electrons to gyrate. I understand the gyrating part but I'm not sure about how the gyrating electrons avoid getting impacted on the grid. But besides this, I thought of a practical problem, wouldn't the magnets get damaged from being near high heat? How could you protect the magnets? Looking at the picture it is not obvious what they did. And they didn't mentioned this in their paper.
