Does it reach to any useful conclusion about break-even/confinement/....? If someone has had a look to it please make a short summary (2-3 lines)

The conclusion:

Beam forming is important. It reduces losses.

Other than that it describes simulation codes and experimental set up.

Another thing this experiment points out is that the Dr. is correct about annealing but wrong about the method.

It is not an edge effect but a bunching effect.

The best conclusion is it appears to independently verificaty that Rider's model of IEC behavior was wrong. That would answer the biggest criticism of Polywells.

Has anyone tried to contact Carl Dietrich (author of this thesis) to get his take on polywell fusion? Seems like he should have quite a lot of interest in it, and expertise to apply.
