(update) news about a new theory about particle interactions

Postby vernes » Wed Sep 18, 2013 7:12 am

Should be under news, but it's about a discovery of some new math involving particle interaction.
So I'd thought it wise to drop it here.

Physicists have discovered a jewel-like geometric object that dramatically simplifies calculations of particle interactions and challenges the notion that space and time are fundamental components of reality.
(In hindsight it's perhaps a good thing I linked to the reddit post, the server where the article is located seems unresponsive due to the traffic)

Reddit is known to hide a number of scientists so I'd thought wise to link the reddit link in case any comments proved informative.

My only question is, is this useful information concerning creating a model for the electron cloud behaviour inside the polywell?

EDIT: found another informative article: https://www.simonsfoundation.org/quanta ... um-physics
