I am thinking that the labor costs between using 316SS and Titanium to construct the thing I am working on now, so we may as well go with titanium for the innermost parts. I am not so sure that Ti would be a good choice for the Cool Water and Hot Water assemblies.
There are two potential problems with using Ti in the outer assemblies:
1) Activation. We need to the Nuke-E's to weigh in on this one.
2) Ti tends to suck hydrogen out of water at elevated temps. I don't know if this problem has been addressed since my days at Oxyrane. Believe me, it is NOT a minor problem.
