Flat boron is a superconductor

Superconductivity in two-dimensional boron allotropes

Have ribbons of this stuff (refined to be mostly 11Boron) running through liquid hydrogen for cooling, and collecting the 'p' in p-11B, then on into the fusion core, the coil loops arranged polyhedrally, edge-on to the core flux and refreshed by continual motion, with the 'burning' ribbon tips feeding into the center after passing the current pick-off rollers.
