Poorly written. I still can't figure it is is any better than comparable areal density solid sheets.

It has the added bonus of being 7.62mm AP and smaller proof. There was another video floating around showing the impact testing.
From an armor perspective, it is useful given the weight savings. Couple this with the new Glass-Steel Ceramic as an outer ballistic layer, and you've got something that is not only really tough (like combat tough), but also radiation resistant.
