Our Dear Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, just sent a funding bill to the Senate that allotted $50 billion to Nasa. I agree, NASA would/should be keenly interested in a BFR, but what would they be willing to kill to get the money?

Okay, they probably could find something. It's a matter of finding the right person and selling them on the idea for a little money-- a million or so. Same thing with the Army and Air Force. Who else? EPA maybe? The State of Texas is in pretty good financial shape, but you can't expect discretionary funds from them. Everything has to go through the state legislature. A search in the UK might turn up some money.

It would probably pay to look for corporate interests as well. A company like ABB might be willing to pitch in a little change just to see what might come out of it. The money will not all come from one place at this point in time and the project needs a coalition of political allies.

Ten million for the next step up.
