Curing Cancer Is A Moral Issue

Post by MSimon »

Jeff Deutsch says:

As a Scientist with a strong interest in Cancer research and Cancer therapy, and as someone who feels there's way too much unnecessary suffering in the world, I'm a firm believer in the ethical necessity of immediately legalizing Medical Marijuana at the national level, and in ensuring that its covered by all insurance plans, so that every American who needs it has access to it. We lose more Americans each year to Cancer than we lost in WWII. We lose 1,500 Americans every day to Cancer. Every minute an American dies of Cancer. Dying of Cancer sucks -- Ask anyone doing it. Cancer patients can't wait. The need to immediately legalize Medical Marijuana is a MORAL ISSUE. Its one of the biggest moral issues of our time. Cancer patients shouldn't be used as political footballs. The President and Congress need to legalize Medical Marijuana IMMEDIATELY at the national level. No state has the right to deny Cancer patients the best known treatment for Chemotherapy related side effects, the best non-narcotic pain relieve known to mankind, and the most promising addition to Cancer therapy in years.

Oncologists have known for over 25 years that Marijuana is unmatched in its ability to help patients get through Chemotherapy --

It should never been made illegal, and we should have legalized it decades ago.
