"Somebody Must Be In Charge"

Post by mvanwink5 »

Andreas Lubitz
Obama
Ask the Israelis how secure they feel with Obama flying the US plane... And like the Germanwings Flight 9525 being flown into the mountain - I am sure Lubitz had his reasons - when someone is "in charge" discussion is pointless. So, those that want 'someone in charge' are just future passengers. Want someone new in charge...? Wait for a mere 2 more years (Obama thinks he is a foreign policy genius) !

In those cases where someone is in charge they need to be held accountable. "In charge" in the sense of final and unanswerable authority doesn't work where humans are involved.

Answerable is not enough for the 150. After damage is done what good is 'answerable?' For US commercial air flights, as I understand it, when a pilot leaves, a flight attendant must take the pilot's place. That deficiency will likely change for all other commercial airline flights in the future.

However, 'Executive Orders' given under authority of one person is becoming the norm and is actually more disturbing (if that is possible) than the lone commercial air pilot. And if one thinks that issuance of 'Executive Orders' is reasonable, then look at the worry and surprise of so many at what is happening from EPA rules on 'Global Warming,' Treaties (think Iran), 'Amnesty,' FCC take over of the Internet, wars being started, etc. So, the broader issue is power in the hands of a few, and the secrecy of the exercise of that power.

For me the locked cabin door looks a lot like what is happening in our government.

I think you're painting with too broad a brush. In order to be effective at all, the Executive needs the power to execute. That's what they do. It is only when they exceed their authority that there's trouble and the legislative and judicial branches exist in part, to keep the executive in check. It is all three branches of government that are failing, because We the People are not demanding performance from our leadership. If you want to see it change, "throw the bums out!"

The CFR is in charge, everythings done in accordance with 5 year plans, and it doens't matter who the POTUS is, he only does what he's told by them.
