Greenest, cheapest battery yet, iron air by Form Energy
Surprised I didn't see a thread here on these guys, there is now a 10x cheaper battery (but terrible density) for grids and homes https://wtov9.com/news/local/form-energys-battery-plant-construction-weirton-economy-750-jobs Now, Form Energy, a Massachusetts-based energy company, thinks it has the so...

Re: My experience with Chat GPT-4
I have been downloading and playing with smaller state of the art models that run on consumer hardware. Some of them (like Facebook llama) produce results as good as or within a few percentage points (based on many peer reviewed assessments) as ChatGPT but much slower on my machine (2 or so words pe...

The Presidents Council of Advisors on Science and Technology - PCAST
Nuclear fusion industry organization had some very interesting comments for the Presidents Council of Advisors on Science and Technology on the white house YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/t47gXx5fb3o I did not make time stamp notes, however PCAST also accepts comments from the general public for t...

Re: Article on laser driven pB11 fusion
Was researching this one over lunch and the real benefit to this design is no vacuum is needed; the fusion is achievable in atmosphere. If diode-pumped lasers achieve a few more advances outside this research, the design also benefit drastically. 50 joule laser math (per the paper 2019) is pretty mu...
