The fission of 235U results in a large amount of missing mass so is exothermic. Yes, but fusion of two lighter elements to make U235 in endothermic and fission of light elements (like Boron) is endothermic. While U235 may have greater total binding energy, the binding energy between individual nucl...

you don't need an ultra-sophisticated setup in order to comprehend the major implications But you do need one to rule out "unintended" sources of energy, provide the necessary data to support theory development and validation, and support replication and verification. As has been stated, " when you...

If it is difficult it may not be commercial i.e. do you ever get your input energy back when you account for processing the materials for operation?
How about a battery? I can think of a "small" industry that would embrace a small 10Kw energy source that lasts 6 months. Auto.

OK, I am not a physicist, but I have a BS in it and I slept at a Holiday Inn Express. In my mind, the difference between Tokamak and Polywell (and therefore how you think about the plasma within them) is how the energy to overcome the coulomb forces is achieved. Tokamak attempts to do with pressure ...

a direct question of whether the polywell is suited as a power generator to characterizing plasma scaling In other words, if you prove scaling then you prove viability of "Polywell ... as a clean energy source for electrical generation". "Working as designed." Sounds like scaling is being proved.

This is very exciting news. I look forward to hearing about all the methods used to count neutrons and the counts they got.

I guess it is time to keep an eye out for funding for WB-8.1!! :D

If the research in thermo electrics (as discussed previously here) meets with some success, one could have quite a small power source for vehicles, houses, whatever. Assuming Roosi's E-Cat is not a scam.

Something I have been trying to wrap my head around is how to support any of these structures, even the simplest current magrid design. I am assuming at least two supports per coil. So, do you want magnetic fields around the supports to prevent recirculating electrons (or ions!) from impacting them?...

Did the original contract that made a provision for WB 8.1 also state a price/cost? If so, that could be used as an indicator of which option is being let as you describe.
