My point is that pre ~1945 the CO2 was going as t^2 (constant acceleration), and since then its going as t^9 (t^7 acceleration) . Forgive me. I don't really understand what you are trying to say. It might be my poor understanding of your terminology or poor use of terminology by me. Anyway, I get t...

MSimon, "hide the decline" comes from the oft-quoted 1998 Nature paper describing the decline in the Briffa proxy tree ring data. What happened was that there was an obvious divergence post-1960 which did not meet the measured results. Now, the proxy data before that was very accurate, indeed, you ...

One problem with the models is that the water vapor feedback isn't modeled on first principles, it's too complicated and nobody really has a good grasp on the cloud formation factor. So they use a parametric model which hasn't been properly validated . The validation is increasingly on the mark, di...

1959-1968 - 8.10 ppmv increase 1999-2008 - 18.75 ppmv increase Non-linear. You are wrong, Alex. CO2 is indeed increasing by a little bit more each year than the increase of the year before (on average). If this year the increase is 2ppm, then, on average, the increase to CO2 next year will be 2.014...

Human emissions maybe. Levels seem to follow linear pattern. Hardly. Historical trends in carbon dioxide concentrations and temperature, on a geological and recent time scale . Yep. "Observations" part is pretty linear. And that is the period of exponential grow in emissions. a) Solid CO2 measureme...

But of course you can't get all that carbon into the atmosphere, because the carbon cycle is sucking a constant fraction back out every year, and some carbon fuel depots are more expensive to exploit than others. World CO2 levels have been growing exponentially since at least 1832, nonetheless. Hum...

Cohen, a research specialist at WHOI and one of the study’s co-authors. “What was really interesting was that some of the creatu...

Yes.jmc wrote: I thought even the skeptics agree that doubling CO2 concentration would cause a rise of 1 degree based on it radiative absorbtion in the absence of other negative feedback mechanisms.
Which is actually quite nice thing to happen....

CO2 has been up to 7,000 ppmv in geological time. No tipping point. There are not enough available carbon sources to raise the level above 1,000 ppmv or so. Do you see the contradiction? Correction: There are not enough available fossil fuels to.... Of course, with enough external energy, you could...

Re: Get a grip.
One link Jcarlton gave saying how tiny the size of the Carbon molecule was and how it was "physically impossible" a trace gas could affect climate really made me angry. Because doubling CO2 would cause an increase of 1 degree There is yet long way to actually doubling CO2. To quadrupling, it might ...

Fact1, On earth, without GHG the average global temp would be down by at least 32C. Fact2 we are adding to our level of GHG. Why do AGW supporters keep repeating stuff that is not in dispute as a form of argument. Any argument denying these facts just shows being ill-informed. Well then thank God s...

Does the medicine man manufacture vaccines? Their medicine is different from ours, not inferior. So we are better at some things and they are better at others. Which is why big pharma has beaten a path to their door. Can they cure tuberculosis? Lepra? Somehow I suspect you are not really serious. I...

The murder rate in such societies was rather high IIRC. Compared to where? Detroit? And then there is maintaining your range in the face of other bands who would like your high productivity area. Hunter-gatherers mostly avoided each other. Until we took their land... Untrue. Do some research. In mo...
