As I understand it Tri Alpha accomplishing pB11 fusion is, well, a bit on the optimistic side.
What are the chances of them getting to net power with D-T, D-D or D-He3 compared to the rest of the private efforts?

50 cents on the Petro Dollar
Let's say Helion pulls off 50 cents on the dollar electricity. What does this look like for the Petro Dollar, aka we keep the sea lanes open and you buy oil in dollars paradigm?

Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024
Assuming things go as planned how many D-D burners would be needed to feed the D-He burners? I'm assuming the D-D burners would require more maintenance. ideally the existing natural gas stream would add an additional cryo distilliation step (it's just a few more degrees) and drop the cost of He3 b...

Bussard's legacy
Did Bussard have have a major part to play in the existence of almost 40 private fusion startups? Did "Should Google go Nuclear?" act as a catalyst or were circumstances (ie superfast computer control making more options) going to make the startups happen anyway? Both? Something else?

Supply Chains for fusion
I watched that video where various fusion companies talked to a Congressional committee. Helion voiced concerns about supply chains. So a couple questions: 1. Do you see the increasing amount of money and new fusion private startups helping to build supply chains, talent ect? 2. Had the US been buil...

Why researching "dark horses" is necessary?
A couple questions from a layman lurker? 1. Is the following takeaway correct? Confirming that any given concept (ie FRC, Polywell) works or doesn't work will not likely tell you if another concept works. Each concept must be built and tested? 2. If Helion accomplishes net power at 90 cents or less ...

What does SNF mean?
As for our waste fuel rods do you see any paracical use whatsoever in a MSR of any type?

Follow up question to "For the Greens"
Quick background: A couple pages in and my layman self was asking about the Elysium Molten Salt Reactor concept. I forgot to cut to the chase by asking what you all think a MSR fleet would look like. The goals would be to 1. Close the fuel cycle. 2. "Burn up" our waste fuel. What configuration(s) wo...
