Has anyone insight on how Lockheed Martin is doing? I noticed that they did not submit any abstract to the APS Division of Plasma Physics conferences in 2020 and 2021, but in the previous years they did present regularly with several contributions.

According to the article Helion Energy has filed three patent applications and one of them has been granted and the other two are pending. This is interesting news. The question of radiation hardness of these HTC-magnets is still open. It will determine the lifetime of the magnets and the service interval and play a role in the operational costs of the facility, so it is an important issue.
