Re: EM Drive

Links aren't working for me either but it does look like an improved version of Shawyer's EM Drive. Amazing to me folks still don't get that this violates' conservation. Someone commenting on the Arstechnica article covering the wired.uk and pbs articles. Thought to use the way back machine to unco...

Re: BLP news

Also, what I really don't get. If your meet the SEC's rules for investing in a private company, how do you not get someone independent to do due diligence for you? It just seems like the scale of the deception would need to be really really big, like Bernie Madoff scandal big for this to grok in my...

Re: BLP news

I would also add to this that powderization of metal only makes it burn better and easier. Sometimes explosively. If you add an oxidation component or mechanism, you do not need any air. Thus, adding Argon to the chamber could be a mere gimmick distraction. Self oxidizing metallic powder compunds a...

Re: EM Drive

And honestly I kinda think they would(edited) deserve it. I would expect that if a paper covering this kinda upending of the accepted norm was going to go out with NASA's name on it in any way, shape or form. They would at least do an internal review. I would also find it hard to believe that any po...

Re: EM Drive

Interesting... I skimmed through the Cannae test setup in the eagle works paper and it looks like the only thing on the torsion pendulum is the Cannae drive cavity. from the electrical schematic included it also looks like the power supply was outside the vacuum chamber. Again this is my guess from ...

Re: EM Drive

More complete abstract here: http://ntrs.nasa.gov/search.jsp?R=20140006052 This part makes my alarmbells go off: Thrust was observed on both test articles, even though one of the test articles was designed with the expectation that it would not produce thrust. Specifically, one test article contain...

Re: BLP news

Though there are lots of ways to fake this, if they were caught in a fake while raising investment funds (what they say they['re doing) people would go to prison. BLP doesn't strike me as that sort. I am just saying, we are not being exposed to carefully controlled scientific conditions, nor real d...

Re: BLP news

"5 J input and the light energy released is over 500 J." Eh, someone who know more about these demos educate me. To a casual observer like myself, it looks pretty unconvincing. I could make such a thing in my garage if I cared enough to try -- and if I wanted to risk getting electrocuted, which I d...

Re: BLP news

Please note my comment was made before the 7/21 vid. I was referring to the earlier vid. My bad didnt look at the date on your comment. No actually, they stipulated high current, not high voltage. The point is the same however--they are not furnishing the power in or out of the reaction, so there i...

Re: BLP news

if this light is 50,000 times as bright as the sun, why aren't the spectators blinded by it, or worse get permanent damage to their retinas. Since you also asked this question on NBF I would remiss if I didnt point out that someone had answer to that question their. Me and Goat Guy were in total ag...

Re: BLP news

Ok - so it makes sparks. Maybe more sparks than a sparkler fireworks, but I'm not sure. I think the HotCat demo is more impressive. LOL, from all the demos recorded on the july 21st, 2014 demo I would say in totality they were just as impressive as the hotcat demo. Neither have proved that they hav...

Re: BLP news

I still don't see the point of the demo. With such enormous current in, you have to know what is coming out and flashes on a vid don't do it for me. But certainly they are building equipment. I still think they think this is real. I watched both part one and part two of the videos published on the ...
