It is what you make of it. If you choose to not make it a good source then it won't be. Along with the Wikipedia comes ownership. A lot of Universities are starting to do just that. It has matured dramatically in the last couple years and will continue to do so. Sure people will make changes who sh...

What experiments? The data would of course have to be ours to publish.
Experiments done by EMC2. They are a non-profit organization, so they have nothing to lose by it.

They have reason to. ITER, whether it's successful or not, is going to generate prodigious amounts of radioactive waste. It's not a clean technology, and almost certainly never will be, because p-B11 fusion is too hard with the tokamak approach. True, but waste was never a true problem, and the was...

The wiki article isn't bad, but I need more precise information. Isn't there a book regarding this?

Would you be interested in reproducing some small-scale experiments regarding Polywell?

I always found it strange that a single student discredits an entire promising field regarding fusion, and then starts working in a non-fusion related job. Somehow, that he did a slippery job does not surprise me.

Fusion litelature and website suggestions

I hereby want to dedicate this topic to good resources regarding fusion, whether it be general fusion, papers or even nothing directly related to fusion but regarding physics. My only rule really, is to have to favour free resources, if not, say so. This includes websites, if you have to pay. Tom Do...

If you want to host files, then I have two recommendations:

http://www.imageshack.us/ For images, hosting is free, and if you register up, your files stay up longer. It's slow, and may have adds, but its free.

http://rapidshare.com/ You may host relatively small files here for free.

For the time, I think so. But if the forum is going to grow significantly, we might have to enforce stricter guidelines and appoint moderators.

Scepticism and arguments

It was mentioned in one topic that we should try to wash off the snake-oil smell off of us the best we can. I believe that scepticism is an important thing, and it is a sole defence againts false belief and charlatanism. Charlatans and the like avoid sceptics, and only deal them in such a manner tha...

The general idea is that Navy has stopped many programs research (not only this one) due to budget limitations Which is due to the Iraqi war. Has anyone in the navy written any technical evaluations of Polywell? I recall, and even might have some papers that are from the DARPA archive, but most of ...

Short version: Not likely, consider that environmentalist are protesting againts ITER. Getting funding for something that is a bit out of the blue, like Polywell is not going to be easy. Long version + some ranting: Officially, the best funding for fusion one can get is for ITER, an international To...
