From all I hear, they are still aiming to have Polaris completed before the end of year. Note that they often release information/pictures/videos out of order. Could be months after they were filmed.
That said, 2025 is more likely for the first net electricity tests (I predicted that a while ago).

Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024
I had understood that the power supply in this test machine was what was smaller, that the latest improvements were increases in its power. Helion needed to add high voltage capacitors as they were manufactured and that was the power supply hold up. Perhaps there was more to it than just the power ...

Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024
The formation test machine is a separate machine from Polaris. From what I understand, it is slightly smaller than the formation test section of Polaris, but close enough to give them a head start.

Re: Lawaranceville E-Newsletter
New newsletter from LPPF. They seem to be making progress on the funding and the experimental side. PB11 experiments with Beryllium electrode are now set to start next month (we will see, but fingers crossed). They also seem to have improved their symmetry with pre- ionization. Overall good news fro...

Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024
Since that target Helion learned their machine needed to be larger in diameter & they had some logistics issues (I believe unspecified), so their schedule shifted to full assembly in 2024 & early 2025 for net electric. I still am in hope for early news. LOL Yeah, supply chain issues since COVID hav...

Re: ZAP Energy News
It could be that the additional funding is needed for project Century? The number of people at Zap Energy was listed as 60 in 2022, 140 in 2023 and 150 in the FIA 2024 report, so the last years increase was modest. In addition to salary costs they will have many other expenses to cover. In order to...

Re: ZAP Energy News
Zap just opened another 130 million funding round. Uri has previously said that they would not publish results until after peer review. But then investors might not need peer review (or have their own reviewers brought in). https://www.geekwire.com/2024/fusion-startup-zap-energy-is-raising-more-cash...

Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024
New Helion News Letter is out: HelionCableTray.jpeg We always knew that 2024 would move quickly for all of us at Helion and the past few months have been no exception. Our production floor is bustling with activity as we push to finish building Polaris. Next door, in Ursa, Polaris itself is continui...

Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024
Oh! I totally agree with that. Oh yeah and the fuel mix ratio was indeed the other one, I was thinking of. Got distracted and then had completely lost my train of thought. Getting old, LOL Anyway, they can do all that and probably get a decent performance with D-T out of it without doing too much da...
