Any nuclear capable country can put a space colony in orbit. It sounds like they thought it'd be manrated easily, so you could probably put the colonists up at the same time. ...that might be a bad idea. The structure is designed for the floors to be what would amount to walls down here. You could ...

The Kalpana One is one of the smallest (but still large) space habitats that I've seen proposed. It would only house 5,000 people. Yet... it still would weigh 15 million tons. From: http://alglobus.net/NASAwork/papers/NSS2006KalpanaOne.pdf Passive radiation protection may be provided by approximatel...

Another point to consider: at the time this complaint was filed, Obama's law license was already inactive. Obama agreed to work for the firm in summer when the legislature was out of session. His law license became inactive in 2002 as politics took over. http://www.boston.com/news/education/higher/a...

How does the Illinois Bar deal with an Accusation (backed up with proof) that someone lied on a Bar exam? Grogan said his office would have immediately alerted the court in a public filing if there had been reason to believe she should face disciplinary action. He continued, "Just because someone g...

You like those parts? I like this part. "No Malpractice report required as Attorney is Retired." I was totally waiting for you to commit that bit of stupidity. Go ahead, read where that's taken from. What's that entry listed under, there? Malpractice Insurance . You don't believe everything you rea...

Oh, I didn't mean to say that the poles aren't hot shite. They are. But there's credible second bests out there. So when you consider things like international competition, you have to ask, what's more profitable - going for broke to get a pole, or just selling titanium to buy pole-ish water? For so...

The poles aren't as good for titanium. You find more of that on the near side of the moon (for some reason I don't understand). Not sure if the poles will be good for He-3. I guess the water migration model would work as well for helium. Otherwise, you'd expect all that to be around the titanium dep...

Grogan said his office would have immediately alerted the court in a public filing if there had been reason to believe she should face disciplinary action. "We filed a consent in Michelle Obama's case in which we had no objection to her transferring to inactive status," he said. "In the event that ...

I'm also of the belief that as long as the partial pressure of O2 is about 4-5psi, it doesn't matter what the rest of the inert mix, or what pressure it is. Really deep divers use He as a mix gas to get really high pressures with less risk of nitrogen narcosis, and I'm pretty sure the astronauts us...
