Re: First Light Fusion News

The Telegraph has combined two videos by FLF into one and added some captions. The 1 min 5 s long video shows how the FLF reactor concept looks like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60dmC-9MqVI First Light Fusion has redesigned their website, so it is has quite a lot more material compared to the pr...

Re: General Fusion in the news

GF is expanding their cooperation with utilities as was mentioned already in the Helion thread. It seems that they are really moving forward early in this area. https://generalfusion.com/2022/04/gener ... y-leaders/

Re: First Light Fusion News

FLF reports that they have detected their first neutrons from the D-D reaction. Their analysis has been independently confirmed by UKAEA. It is nice to see yet another way to skin a cat. https://firstlightfusion.com/media/fusion https://firstlightfusion.com/science-hub/conclusions-from-ukaeas-review...

Re: ZAP Energy News

Ben Levitt who is director of R&D at Zap Energy gave a talk with the title Fusion Energy & the Energy Transition at the GDS Energy Summit in December 2021. Re: MIT claim they will build the SPARC

As a matter of fact, it is worth noting that ZAP could "overtake" (in purely triple product, which is not everything mind you!) everyone else, which is mainly because of the relative simplicity of their design. Re: Helion Energy to demonstrate net electricity production by 2024

It's nice to see the progress possible when funding is not the limiting factor.

That building is quite large so a lot of activities will fit in there. I wonder how much space is required for Polaris with the needed capacitor banks and other equipment?

Re: ZAP Energy News

Zap Energy has reached the point in their development that they have felt the need to upgrade their web pages to a more flashy and fancy version like we have seen some of their competitors do over the past years. A nice thing is that Zap Energy has direct links to their papers from their research pa...
