Its a pity more people from these other countries aren't online and chatting with us to help us better understand them, as I reckon we might make more headway in that direction than dropping another lot of bombs at times.. I suppose its also the denial aspect, saying you aren't doing this or that w...

Basically, they tried to break a superconductor in a known way, and it didn't break. So they came up with a model that explains this. A more fundamental question will be is their model correct, or is there some other way to explain the behavior. In any case, it is a really nice discovery. Proves the...

You are on the right track. The problem is the stopping distance for electrons. You need really thin layers of U-233, insulator and good conductor. There are really good models for how electrons slow down in matter, so we can compute just how thin those layers need to be. Then you have to figure out...

Speaking of Obama, you can post a note on one of his web sites and suggest he look into fusion and polywell here: Obama Energy Page. The more votes something gets, the more likely it might be looked at.

Since you start neutral, you end neutral. You can't have a current if you can't store the charges in different states. The electrons eventually have to come back to the ions that they came from, so you need to separate them and create a battery. The distance an electron can travel in metal is really...

"Potentially practical" is an interesting phrase. :) The main problem is reprocessing. Getting that economical is easier with a hybrid reactor than with a pure fission reactor, but it's still hard. Harder still is the politics. Once we overcome the fear of the word "nuclear" (let alone some ability ...

"no energy" and non existence makes sense, "no mass" and non-existence does not make sense. Photons have energy, but no mass, and it's pretty clear they exist. The full formula is E^2 = (mc^2)^2 + (pc)^2 where E is total energy, m is the rest mass, c is light speed and p is kinetic momentum. A photo...

Do a web search on "hybrid nuclear reactor". Here's an example:
The Fusion-Fission Hybrid Reactor for Energy Production: A Practical Path to Fusion Application
It's a great idea. I don't think it is economical, otherwise somebody would be doing it.

I had pretty much finished debunking the Steorn "overunity" claims and was wandering around the net looking at other infinite energy claims. Then I ran across the Google video and figured it would be fun to check it out. I first heard about talk-polywell on the fusor.net forum, and ended only having...
