Re: Dr. Park to speak at UW-Madison

Here are a couple of questions: What is the size of WB7 and WB8? What is the maximum magnetic field of WB7 and WB8? Have WB7 and/or WB8 shown plasma instabilities that need to be mitigated? What have been the greatest technical difficulties experienced with WB7 and WB8? Will data on WB7 and WB8 be p...

Re: Focus Fusion In the Daily Mail And Indiegogo

Now, if only Tri-Alpha would chime in with some news, the week would be perfect? TAE still does not have an web page of their own, but as of this week they do have a dedicated page on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tri_Alpha_Energy Now if Lockheed Martin Skunk Works would give an update on...

Re: 2014 Dark Horse Trifecta Year?

I still have hope for some of the other players. MSNW recently built a new prototype for their Helion fusion engine, Tri Alpha also has a new prototype up and running (I just saw it mentioned in a paper I read the other day). Sure, it is nice with so many contenders in the race. It would be even be...

Re: 2014 Dark Horse Trifecta Year?

The race towards break even has become even more interesting now that JET is attempting to break their record from 1997 by running in 2017 with DT. LPP has as their target achieving break even with pB11, but in order to do that they will have to achieve a triple product value larger than the limit f...

Re: JET will attempt Q-record by the end of the decade

Six years to this test/ demo in a machine that is already working? I suspect this is a final test with all the knobs turned to Full, after they have exhausted their current research program. It might be more risky, but if it is at the end of the machine lifetime anyway... It would be perhaps useful...

JET will attempt Q-record by the end of the decade

BBC News has this article "UK centre to shoot for nuclear fusion record" by Paul Rincon: Prof Steve Cowley told the BBC a go-ahead to run Jet at maximum power would allow scientists to try for the record by the end of the decade. This could bring Jet up to the coveted goal of "breakeven" where fusio...

Re: General Fusion in the news

Here is an article I missed, but is perhaps one of the most enlightening in many ways. EMC2 should look at GF's way of doing things top to bottom, that is assuming EMC2 is looking to do some things... http://www.profitguide.com/manage-grow/innovation/meet-the-firm-that-could-revolutionize-energy-se...
